About Suehiro Cerax 1010 #1000

The Cerax 1000 has always been Ryky’s favorite soaking sharpening whetstones.  They are fast cutting, and give great positive feedback, and slow wearing. These have been a top pick for 3 years in a row.  This whetstone, paired with a good quality strop, will give any knife an edge suitable to be used in any kitchen. When using this whetstone, Ryky often finishes with the Suehiro Rika 5000, which is a soaking polishing whetstone. Made in Japan

About Suehiro Rika #5000

The Suehiro Rika 5000 is one of those rare polishing stones that give the user great feedback, while retaining good sharpening speed.  It can be used by just applying water during sharpening, but a 5-10 minute pre-soak greatly improves polishing quality. The cut speed of this whetstone performs similar to what many 2000-3000 whetstones feel like.  Though not as slow wearing as other 5000-6000 whetstones are, due to its soaking nature, it is not considered fast wearing. Ryky has kept a broken Rika 5000 whetstone in his collection for 4 years, and refuses to replace it with a brand new one. Made in Japan

About Naniwa Sink Bridge

The Naniwa Sink Bridge is a great way to hold your whetstones directly over your kitchen sink, providing easy access to water. Having your whetstones over sink also makes things neater and cleanup easier. No more water running all over your counter top or workbench. Made in Japan

  • Origin: Japan
  • Model IZ-1111
  • Item Weight: 2.45 lb (1.1kg)
  • Dimension: 18" x 6" x 1.6" (45.72cm x 15.24cm x 4cm)

About Naniwa Whetstone Holder

After years of buying and testing dozens of whetstone holders on the market, this is one Ryky’s favorite.  It’s one of the only holders that uses truly stainless hardware, and rails. It also has one of the widest footprint of all whetstone holders, which makes it one of the most stable to use.

It will hold all but the largest whestones available. Whetstones that are larger than what this holder can handle, generally will come with their own bases, or are specialty stones that require a much different holder solution.

  • Accommodates Whetstones of the following size:

4-Piece Sharpening Kit

Fits perfectly in our bar sink for easy use, as a complete knife sharpening beginner with no experience I found this kit perfect and was easily able to shape several knives in from my kitchen including repairing a very badly dinged up knife returning it to daily use. I would highly recommend.

Life changing

So, this is my first ever purchase of a sharpening stone/kit anything. It definitely takes skill and practice and I have ways to go but I can sharpen knives! Either way, this was the cheapest kit in the BURRFECTION STORE and that is why I bought it. I love it. It works and I hope to grow with it! I plan on using it as a party favor/gift. If through this whole pandemic I am ever invited over to a friend's house, you can bet that I will bring my kit over and sharpen their knives. With that said, I need to look for some sort of bag to carry them. The box that the kit was shipped in is nice and sturdy but cardboard can only go for so long. I have a bunch of Lululemon totes, I will use those. Either way, no complaints! Love the kit.
