The Debado LD-601 Finishing Whetstone, also known as the Professional Size 1 LD Sharpening Stone, is to date Ryky’s favorite 6K whetstone. It has the responsiveness of diamond polishing whetstones that costs twice as much. Most 6K grit whetstones are a bit boring to polish on, and feel a bit on the mushy side, but the LD-601 reacts a bit more like sharpener than a polishing whetstone. Anyone who enjoys polishing their knives to a near-mirror finish, but want to do it with a snappy 6K grit whetstone, the LD-601 is the best choice.

How to clean:
If the stone’s performance is slowing down, or seems to be diminishing, you can clean using a rust eraser, nagura stone, dressing stone, or a flattening plate. Be sure to clean the entire surface of the whetstone when using any of these methods to ensure even wear of the whetstone’s surface.
